Betty Hanks holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Prairie View A&M University, a Master of Education Degree from Texas A&M University and did further graduate studies at Texas A&M University. She taught school in the Bryan Independent School District for 30 years. Betty owned and operated Big Top Learning Center, for thirty eight years, that was accredited by the Nationally Association for the Education of Young Children She was named Administrator of the Year for the Brazos Valley Association for the Education of Young Children in 2001. Betty is listed in the Who's Who National Register as an Honored Professional for Executives and Businesses in the 2002 edition. She was a validator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Betty has written five books: Early Childhood Curriculum for Infants, The Early Childhood Resource Guide, Positive Guidance-Discipline With Love, successfully managing your business, and Early Childhood Curriculum and Resource Guide for Toddlers. She presents workshops and seminars and does on-site training for many preschool topics, childhood guidance and business administration programs. In 2003, Betty established a new business, "Life Long Learning", for the purpose of publishing her daycare curriculums and other books. Mrs. Hanks received certification in Childhood Development Associate Credentials. She is a Master Trainer, registered with the Texas Early Care and Education Career Development System.
